The design for the Worcester Country Club addition and renovation sensitively updates the classic 1920’s Tudor-style building. A new mixed grill is incorporated with the existing clubhouse rooms. To take advantage of expansive views of the golf course, extensive windows were incorporated in the addition. An opportunity for outdoor dining is provided with a new terrace overlooking the 18th hole. Using materials and masses similar to the original building, the addition blends subtly while incorporating modern amenities. A master plan calls for an expanded kitchen facility, renovated locker rooms, and improved access and parking. The new mixed grill provides a traditional atmosphere that blends with the original 1920’s interior spaces. Modern day amenities, including televisions and air conditioning, are sensitively incorporated. The wide bands of windows afford excellent views of the golf course.
