Holy Cross Seelos Theater

When the College of the Holy Cross needed a multi-functional space for meetings, theatrical performances, and other presentations, LPA created a design that transformed part of historic Kimball Hall, which had for some time been used primarily as a film venue, to Seelos Theater, a 360-seat multi-purpose assembly space.

The redesign provided significant upgrades to the space with improved features, support spaces, advanced heating and air conditioning systems, state-of-the-art acoustics, lighting, and audio-visual systems.

From an underutilized space, Seelos Theater has become one of the college’s most popular spaces for faculty meetings, student orientation, and live performances while continuing to support the college’s popular free film series.

“The talent, creativity and technical skill of Lamoureux Pagano Associates, Architects are all on display at the renovated Seelos Theatre.  They transformed our old Kimball Theatre into a fabulous and welcoming multimedia venue that now serves as a vibrant space for hosting a variety of functions and events – from lectures and conferences to films, performances, and academic presentations.  We know that students, professors, alumni, and members of the Worcester community are as thrilled with the results as we are.”
