Through a design competition process, the Eagle Hill School in Hardwick, Massachusetts, commissioned LPA to design its 45,000 square-foot Cultural Center. The building is strategically positioned to reinforce the school’s primary campus space while maintaining the rural quality of the 150-student Hardwick independent boarding school.
The Cultural Center includes proscenium and studio theaters, backstage dressing rooms and green room, inviting reception and gallery areas, classrooms and studios for music and art, a woodshop, and a 500 seat dining and function hall.
As the place for daily student meals, campus meetings, and arts classes, the Cultural Center is a hub for student life and learning; as a working performing arts center, the venue has become a vibrant cultural destination for the region.
