A Celebration and a Chance to Say “Thanks”

To honor and thank Mike Pagano for all he has contributed through his work at LPA over the past four decades, an event was held at the Hanover Theatre on December 7. More than 150 people came to celebrate Mike as he retires from LPA and enters the next phase of his life and career. The Hanover Theatre was chosen as the venue, as the restoration of the historic theater, completed in 2008, is one of the most widely recognized projects in LPA’s portfolio.

Among those who spoke at the event were Lt. Governor Karyn Polito and former Town Administrator Dan Morgado who have both worked with Mike on projects for the Town of Shrewsbury. City Manager Edward Augustus made a few remarks to thank Mike for all he has done in and for the City of Worcester.  Brian Lynch, formerly of the IGC Country Club and the Haven Country Club relived some of his favorite moments working with Mike over the course of numerous projects. Hanover Theatre founders Paul Demoga and Ed Madaus also shared personal and professional memories of Mike. Mike was honored with a citation from the Massachusetts Governor, a citation from the House of Representatives presented by Hannah Kane and a proclamation from the Town of Shrewsbury.

Katie Crockett served as emcee for the event and also said a few words about Mike’s enduring contributions and her commitment to carry his legacy forward.  Mike expressed his appreciation and also reflected back about some of his own memorable experiences over the years. Mike’s last day at LPA will be December 29th.
