EHS Receives AS&U Outstanding Design Award
The November issue of American School & University magazine presented the Cultural Center of Eagle Hill School in Hardwick, Massachusetts with an Outstanding Design Award. Lamoureux Pagano Associates was the architectural firm for this “signature campus building.”

Dedicated to teaching students with disabilities, Eagle Hill School turned to LPA to design a Cultural Center that could serve students in its popular arts programs while also serving as a venue for community events.

The completed Center includes a professional proscenium theater for 450, a campus dining hall, and classrooms for studio and performing arts, as well as wood shop and graphic arts programs. The upper level features a dining hall with a pergola connecting the green space. A “voluminous lobby” welcomes the community to theatrical performances, art shows, conferences, and other cultural events.

The award notes that “the use of solid materials including stone, metal, and wood, reflects both the campus’ natural surroundings and the permanence of the educational program mission.” See more photos of Eagle Hill School in our portfolio.
